Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resync appears in new PEGI listing ahead of the Game Awards

Black Flag has been rumoured for months and it now looks like the leak was right. A new PEGI rating has appeared under the name Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resync, which all but confirms that Ubisoft is preparing to announce the game. With the Game Awards just around the corner, the timing is a little too perfect to ignore.

The PEGI listing itself does not say much beyond the expected content warnings. There are no story details, no screenshots and no platform information, just the title and the rating. Even so, an entry like this usually means a reveal is close, and it finally gives something official to attach to what has been a long-running rumour.

The original Black Flag remains one of the most popular games in the series, so a remake was always going to attract attention. What makes this one interesting is the talk about how far Ubisoft may go with it. Early reports suggest the game could be rebuilt with systems closer to Origins, Odyssey, Valhalla and Shadows. That would mean a stronger RPG structure, expanded skill progression and a different approach to exploration. It also lines up with rumours that some of the modern-day storyline might be trimmed or reworked to better fit the current tone of the series.

None of this is confirmed, but Ubisoft has been clear in recent years about wanting to reshape Assassin’s Creed while still keeping parts of its classic identity. A Black Flag remake gives them a chance to do that with one of the series’ most recognisable settings.

With the listing now live and the Game Awards almost here, an announcement feels very close. If Black Flag Resync is real and ready to show, we should find out soon. We will update this story when more information appears.
